Thank you for your recent enquiry regarding joining Deben Transport as a preferred charter haulier.

As a preferred supplier you will automatically become part of our fleet working alongside our own vehicles and therefore you will immediately benefit from the same selection of work as we realise that you are also in the business to make a living.

We currently operate from mainly from Felixstowe but do work from all UK ports as required. During the week we would operate the vehicles and providing that you have secure parking facilities we would route you towards your home base at the weekend.

Fuel facilities are also available via Deben Transport by use of the ‘Keyfuels’ network. Slider trailers are available immediately at a cost of £65.00 per week.  Trailer costs cover all standard maintenance and tyres attributed to normal wear and tear. Additional costs such as punctures, blowouts and damage however are not covered.

As a preferred supplier you will be required to have appropriate insurance in line with CMR and RHA 1998 terms and conditions. We currently offer our customers an uplifted cover rate of £4000 per tonne.  We prefer our suppliers to offer the same level of cover. In addition we also require that our suppliers provide vehicles that are plated and taxed to carry 44 tonnes gross.

Payment terms are weekly after 4 weeks; i.e. work undertaken in week 1 will be paid at the end of week 5 etc. If factored, monthly payments will apply.
